Who is the Cryptocoryne Wendtii?
This pretty plant has leaves in the shape of spearhead of variable color, going from green to brown. Did you know that the shape of its leaves changes according to the intensity of lighting? The more light the plant receives, the more its leaves are wavy. Conversely, the less light it receives, the flatter its leaves are.
The Cryptocoryne Wendtii can be kept completely submerged as well as emerged. Be careful however, the transition from one to the other can be quite delicate: buy it directly in the desired situation (on land or in the water). If it is kept emerged, you can hope to see it bloom.
Planting and maintenance
Planting and maintenance
How to plant and maintain the Cryptocoryne Wendtii?
For a beautiful bushy effect, plant 5 to 6 feet every 15 cm (6").
In terms of maintenance and water quality, Cryptocoryne Wendtii is not very difficult and can easily be adapted to many parameters. It requires little maintenance and grows relatively well in all circumstances (still respect the limits of the water parameters indicated in the pictograms above). On the other hand, it does not appreciate sudden variations in water parameters: this can cause yellowing and holes in its leaves. When installing it, do a little acclimatization to limit the damage. The same phenomenon is also triggered by water that is too polluted with nitrates: take good care of your aquarium by changing the water regularly.
It likes a rich nutritive ground and the diffusion of CO2, even if it is not obligatory, remains appreciated by this plant.
You can plant it in the shade or half-shade, which makes it a perfect plant for the foreground or the middle part of your aquarium.
For the maintenance in emergent situation, envisage a good water of humidity and a rather high temperature.
Farming

How to farm the Cryptocoryne Wendtii?
The plant produces many runners (stems) to expand. At the end of each runner is a young shoot capable of forming a new plant. You can cut a runner and transplant the new plant in the desired location.
